Valencia is in fashion!

Valencia is a city where you can breathe art, fashion and design in every step you take. Perhaps it is because of the Mediterranean essence and the light that inspired Sorolla, its 2,000 years of history and traditions that are still very much alive, its vibrant culture and its innovative spirit that makes us always look to the future.

This perfect combination of factors has allowed the city to be the birthplace of numerous talented designers such as Francis Montesinos, Hannibal Laguna and Dolores Cortés.

And as creativity in Valencia never stops, there are always outstanding events that serve as a showcase for Valencian fashion and design for the whole world. Would you like to get to know two of the most outstanding festivals?

Maditerránea Fashion Week Valencia

From 5 to 8 October 2023, in the luxurious Only You Hotel located in the heart of the city and in the beautiful Plaza de la Virgen, the 2nd edition of Mediterránea Fashion Week Valencia will be held.

An event that promotes support for designer fashion and where you will be impressed by the best collections of designers from the Valencian Community, accompanied by an outstanding cast of Spanish and international authors.

On Thursday 5th, the event kicks off with the fashion show of Alejandro Resta, the Valencian designer who has dressed illustrious personalities such as the singer Mónica Naranjo, Paris Hilton or the Al-Thani princesses of Qatar.

On Friday 6th October it is the turn of Duly Romero‘s haute couture, the excellence of Casa Ortura, the harmony of Duarte, the autodidacticism of José Perea and the delicacy of Isabel Sanchis.

On Saturday 7th from 11am to 9pm, you can find luxury in the simplicity of Baro Lucas, the purity of Devota&Lomba, the ingenuity of Maison Mesa, the elegance of Félix Ramiro and the limited editions of Malne.

On Sunday 8th, from 11am, Mediterránea Fashion Week Valencia will say goodbye with the avant-garde of Mario Salafranca, the Ibiza inspiration of Cary Fragueiro, the classic touch of Oteyza, the sophisticated style of Guau and the emotions aroused by the fashion of Carlos Haro.

Clec Fashion Festival

On 27th and 28th October, l’Hemisfèric dresses up to host the 4th edition of the Clec Fashion Festival. An event that promotes Spanish talent, giving visibility to emerging artists who seek to surprise all those attending with their best creations.

This 2023, the theme of the festival will be climate emergency, the catwalk will be dominated by brands that are committed to sustainability and the predominant tones will be blue and white, trying to raise awareness of the problem of melting ice in the Poles.

Innovation, creativity, diversity, sustainability and social commitment: what more could you ask for? Well, this experience is completed with exquisite showcookings where local chefs show their creativity in the kitchen, debates on the future of the textile industry, lots of live music and live art.

Wondering which designers are taking part? Clec brings together a formidable line-up of names such as Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Dolores Cortés, Jaime Piquer, Keperezaxiko, Alineo Studio, Modistilla, Yvan Andreu and Visori along with an excellent line-up of emerging artists, young talents and sustainable designers.

And the surprising touch will be provided by great chefs who will be inspired by the fashion collections to perform magic in the kitchen: Carito Lourenzo with Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Fernando Ferrero with Yvan Andrey and Paco Ortiz with Visori. You already have all the ingredients for a unique experience!
