Discover the historical legacy left in Valencia by the most important industry between the 14th and 18th centuries: the silk trade. Itinerary: We will visit the interiors of the Lonja de la Seda, a Gothic building that has been a World Heritage Site since 1996. We will also visit the Central Market (includes explanation and visit outside the Central Market) and the recently restored Silk Art College, nowadays converted into the Silk Museum. We will visit the Velluters neighbourhood, where the work of the Valencian silk makers’ guild was concentrated. A shop selling traditional Valencian clothing (Albaes) will complete the tour to discover the Valencian silk route.
